SCS chef Jorge Duran, along with members of United Neighborhood Houses, participated in the July 7 “Hometown Heroes” parade in Manhattan. Watch the Telemundo coverage at the 44.25 minute mark to hear the interview with Jorge. The “Hometown Heroes” parade honored essential workers like Jorge who served the community during the pandemic. Jorge’s service included delivering meals to seniors, preparing meals for pre-K students, and assisting with our food pantry.
