Are You a Caregiver?
If you are helping someone to perform the usual activities of daily life, you are a caregiver.
If you are feeling lost or overwhelmed, we are here to help.
Caregiving for people as they age or after the diagnosis of a serious illness or disability often is performed by a family member, whether a member of someone’s biological or chosen family.
Caring for someone with a form of dementia, such as Alzheimer’s, or with a chronic illness, such as heart failure, can pose challenges to the caregiver. This may cause stress and anxiety. If you are a caregiver, you may even find that you are neglecting your own health, and becoming increasingly isolated.
You are not alone.
Caregiver Support at Sunnyside Community Services has a dedicated team to help you with the unique challenges you face.
