Caregiver Billing Processor (Part-Time)

We are seeking a detail-oriented candidate to support our respite services as a part-time Caregiver Billing Processor for our Caregiver Support, Alzheimer’s Services program. The program is designed to support caregivers caring for those individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving and processing invoices for home care services, and maintaining accurate tracking records of respite referrals and payment towards those services. The candidate will collaborate with the director and fiscal department. This position is based out of our Long Island City office.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure home care invoice information is correct.
  • Prepare check requests for invoices to be paid to various home care agencies.
  • Collect and review referrals tracking them on the home care referral spreadsheets.
  • Monitor and record payments.
  • Follow up on missed payments and resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Maintain spreadsheets for accurate referral tracking and invoices.
  • Assist the director monitor home care referrals and overall respite budgeting.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in business, health care administration, accounting, or a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a claims or medical biller or similar role.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Salary Range: $36.63 – $38.46 per hour
Department: Older Adult Services-Caregiver program 
Reports to: Director of Caregiver Services 
Classification: Part-Time (21 hours per week); Non-Exempt
