SCS joined Queens elected leaders and residents of Woodside Houses to demand that NYCHA fix the damaged heating plant. Residents of the development have been without heat and hot water.
SCS Executive Director Judy Zangwill said “Tenants, including the children we serve at the Woodside Houses Community Center, deserve better. I am especially concerned about the continued hardships young people are facing and the impact that it will have on their learning.”
