SCS has recently gained significant funding for the David & Dina Otterman House, a building currently in the initial planning stage that will provide affordable housing for older adults in Queens.
The New York City Council secured $2 million, including $1 million from Council Member Julie Won, and $1 million from Speaker Julie Menin; Queens Borough President Donovan Richards procured $1 million; former New York State Senator Michael Gianaris selected this project for a $1.2 million grant through New York State’s Community Resiliency, Economic Sustainability, and Technology Program (CREST); and New York State Assemblymember Claire Valdez allocated $191,000.
