Making the transition from school to the workplace is an important, and sometimes challenging, phase in a person’s life. Our Career Readiness Program has three main initiatives to give you the skills and experience you need to get a job and plan for a career.
- Internship Opportunities – We work with local companies to match you with relevant internships that will give you meaningful work experience that you can include on your resume and college applications. Recent participants have held internships at Variety Boys and Girls Club, Studio Q, Metro PCS, Athenica Environmental Services, Greiner-Maltz Real Estate, Building Brothers, Inc., Verbal + Visual, Go Pro Plumbing, and Sunnyside Community Services.
- Summer Youth Employment Program – Work readiness training is aligned to a specific job sector so that you can better understand the unique needs of that industry. This is a 6-week summer program for youth ages 16-24.
